Meet the technology
Better equipment = better results
Step onto our manufacturing floor and you’ll notice how every detail has been engineered for precision assembly. It’s not just Multi-Tek’s people that OEMs trust: It’s the technology, too.
We’ve invested millions in advanced automation and other tooling — so your cables come off the line faster, cleaner and exactly to spec. Take a look.

CST machines ensure quality at speed
Around half of the orders placed at MTI will find their way to a Schleuniger CrimpCenter cut-strip-terminate station. These machines automatically test for accuracy and reliability through crimp force monitoring. They reject failed crimps instantly, long before they ever reach a cable assembly.
For some of our customers, even one failed crimp can result in millions of dollars lost in downtime. With both machine and human inspection on every cable assembly, Multi-Tek guarantees 100% functionality.
A full suite of wire and cable processing equipment
But Multi-Tek’s processing equipment goes well beyond the CST machines.
For multi-conductor cable, we rely on the Schleuniger MultiStrip 9480, a high-performance system that cuts material to exact length and removes outer jackets with precision.
We pair it with automated wire strippers and tabletop crimping machines that use the same advanced tooling as our CST stations — ideal for crimping multiple wires within a single jacket.

A massive range of crimp tooling
Multi-Tek is home to well over 125 high-speed, custom Mecal applicators and hundreds of hand crimping tools. All are designed to outperform the standard options most OEMs have on hand.
Every equipment purchase at Multi-Tek is determined through CableTracker, our process management system. We track the time taken on each step of the assembly process, find areas where we can save time through better tooling and invest in them accordingly.
The most diligent testing
Every cable assembly we build gets its own unique six-digit fingerprint: a precise electrical signature that proves it’s wired exactly right. Before anything leaves our floor, our Cirris testers check that fingerprint against your approved spec — and if it doesn’t match, it doesn’t ship.
Sending us a revised drawing? We automatically retire the old signature the moment it arrives — because even one changed pin means a fresh certification from scratch. No mix-ups, no outdated specs slipping through.
That’s the kind of version control that lets you sleep at night.

Always a backup
We take reliability seriously: Every critical piece of equipment at MTI has a backup ready to run, and a fully trained technician on deck. You’re going to get your cable assembly order on time, virtually every time.
How we’ll earn your trust
The machines aren’t the only way. Here are a few of the other commitments we make to our customers.

Reasonable minimum order quantities
MOQs start at 100 cable assemblies, with exceptions made for projects that require ongoing cable assembly production.
02
On-demand engineering
From next-gen improvements to new design finalization, our expertise is all yours.
03
Robust quality control systems
QC engineers go beyond sample testing to produce 100% functionality.
04
ISO, UL and IPC certified
Our cables are IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 2 certified by default, or Class 3 when requested.
05
Responsive support and communication
Expect same-day responses to all inquiries and a detailed quote in three days or less.
